This impression material is completely safe and can also be applied to the skin:

Alginate (white)
An alginate for taking impressions.

Possible mixing ratios by weight:

2 parts water, 1 part alginate for a solid impression material
3 parts water, 1 part alginate for a medium consistency

Water temperature:

Use water (approx. 12 degrees Celsius) and, if possible, distilled water.
A higher water temperature shortens the processing time.

Mixing order:

For a lump-free mix, add the alginate to the water in portions.

Mixing:

First, use 2/3 of the required amount of water and add the alginate powder.
Mix the components thoroughly for approximately 40-60 seconds until a homogeneous consistency is achieved.
Then add the remaining amount of water and mix the components thoroughly again for 30-40 seconds until a homogeneous, creamy consistency is achieved.

Process a small test amount beforehand to familiarize yourself with the material.

Application:

Apply the alginate to the object or body part to be molded. The material will fully harden after 7-8 minutes from the start of mixing at 23°C room temperature. Depending on the selected mixing ratio, the resulting consistency will be jelly- or pudding-like after hardening, with a firm consistency comparable to a sliceable sausage, such as mortadella.

Notes

The alginate mold can be strengthened and supported by applying plaster bandages.
The finished mold contains a high water content, shrinks due to evaporation of the moisture, and should be poured promptly, i.e., no more than 2-3 hours after curing.
