In connection with the sale of electrical and electronic equipment, we are obligated to inform you of the following:
1. All electrical appliances that can be used in private households are marked with the symbol of a crossed-out wheeled bin.
The crossed-out wheeled bin symbol, according to Annex 3 of the German Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG), signifies the separate collection of electrical and electronic equipment from unsorted municipal waste.
2. Owners of old appliances must dispose of them separately from unsorted municipal waste.Old appliances must not be disposed of with household waste.
3. Used batteries that are not enclosed in the old appliance, as well as lamps that can be removed from the old appliance without damage, must be removed from the old appliance without damage before handing it in at a collection point.
4. Lithium-containing batteries can catch fire or explode if handled improperly. Handle lithium-containing batteries with care. Avoid mechanical damage, impacts, or shocks. 5. We are obligated to accept used electrical and electronic equipment free of charge as follows:
a. When you purchase a new electrical or electronic device, we will accept a used device of the same type, which performs essentially the same functions as the new device, free of charge at the point of sale or in its immediate vicinity. The point of sale also includes private households if the device is delivered there.
b. At your request, we will also accept used electrical and electronic equipment that is no larger than 25 centimeters in any dimension, free of charge. This take-back is not contingent upon the purchase of an electrical or electronic device and is limited to three used devices per device type.
c. If the contract was concluded using means of distance communication, free collection is limited to electrical and electronic equipment in categories 1 (heat exchangers), 2 (screens, monitors, and devices containing screens with a surface area of more than 100 square centimeters), and 4 (large appliances). We guarantee the return of electrical and electronic equipment in categories 3 (lamps), 5 (small appliances), and 6 (small IT and telecommunications equipment), as well as waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) with dimensions of up to 25 centimeters, through suitable return options within a reasonable distance of you.
6. For private households, returns are possible at the municipal collection points in your city or town, for example, at recycling centers or mobile hazardous waste collection points. Additionally, if offered in your municipality, you can request collection of WEEE as part of your bulky waste disposal service or dispose of small appliances in collection containers in public places.
7. We would like to expressly point out that end users are responsible for deleting personal data on the old devices to be disposed of.
