Any variation in the hue, saturation or luminosity of a color has a direct effect on our model, so it is important to choose correctly the colors that will interact with each other.

The development of the colors of the Dual Exo range is a very important aspect since the wavelength and refraction of light obtained by combining the A and B tones always shows the harmonic order of colors and constitutes a tool to reach the viewers. The objective is to transmit certain sensations or perceptions of volumes by choosing colors in a simple way.

The modulation of a color is used to create volume through the color itself. To create volume, a light area, a half-shadow area and a deeper shadow are needed. This technique can be carried out by combining analogous, complementary colors or by adding black and white. The Dual Exo combination simplifies this technique with intense colors designed for Sci-Fi, Mechas, Gunpla, etc.

The analogous color palette is obtained when we combine colors that are adjacent in the chromatic circle, i.e. neighboring colors. Color harmony is a basic color theory technique for combining colors. This technique proposes possible relationships between colors to which we can appeal to convey our message or create a certain universe. The DUAL EXO painting system simplifies color theory and accelerates your results. Get a scaled effect of the paint on your models with the color mixtures. The DUAL painting system is designed to make transitions of vivid colors on Mechas, Gunpla, Sci-Fi, etc, but above all it is designed to do it in a simple, effective and fast way. This painting system is identified by a Number and a Letter on each painting (1A-1B, 2A-2B, 3A-3B, etc.) and allows to darkening of color A with color B or lightening color B with color A, depending on the base color. By modifying the proportions we will obtain intermediate shades of color to make the transitions in a simple way without thinking about which color to use so that the shades work harmoniously.

The DUAL EXO range is identified by a number and a letter.
Unlimited transitions may be achieved by combining both colors in different proportions.
Color A can be used as a base and also as a light for color B.
Color B may be used as a base and also as a shadow of color A.

Dual Exo is a professional paint technologically developed from an ultra-resistant acrylic polymer with maximum covering power and resistance. It is a self-leveling acrylic paint that provides a slightly satin finish. What makes this range special is that it is made from a dispersion (resin) of a very fine aqueous copolymer with a specific morphology that makes it multi-adherent.

The basic range consists of 21 boxes packs and the “scenery” range consists of 6 boxes packs.

DUAL EXO scenery colors are based on the same paint system but with a matte finish, and are designed to paint any type of scenery.
